The market for upscale restaurants in the heart of Dubai is highly competitive. For XO Atelier, this meant creating an interior that subverted old notions of luxury, bringing to bear an elegance, simplicity and geometry that would allow guests of Mediterranean-inspired eatery TOPLUM, to enjoy the cuisine in complete serenity. The resulting concept pays homage to regional Mediterranean architecture, taking a light, contemporary approach perfectly aligned to the demands of the operation and the guests.

Their founder and creative director Vera Dieckman employed a clean geometrical approach to the space, lending it a very easy ambience. Coupled with the subtle colour palette, it set the tone for a space where guests can retreat from the intensity of city life, reinvigorate, and indulge.
